Let's Start with a riddle...

What do you get when you cross a personal trainer, a saleswoman, an event coordinator, a dolphin trainer, a cocktail waitress, a left-handed creative, a Scorpio, an Enneagram 8, an empathic intuitive, and a photographer?

You get me...Jen Bauer.

How I Got Here

I started with landscapes, chasing light through National Parks. But coaching and training? Turns out, not super helpful with giant sequoias.

So, I pivoted.

Read about the moment I think I became a photographer

Now I photograph people—weddings, portraits, engagements, families, events. I use my background in personal training to find the most flattering angles, and my animal training experience to positively reinforce even the tiniest perfect movements. I bet you’ll be surprised how natural you look on camera!

Jen Facts

I only started hiking so I could take cool photos. (Still mostly true.)

My In-N-Out order? A 3x3 with grilled onions, fries, and a Diet Coke.

I have a Bachelor’s in Animal Science, with a concentration in Zoo and Exotic Animal Care. I've worked with many species of animals, but dolphins will always hold my heart. (That’s Tobie in my photos.)

I’m a proud Swiftie and Disney fan — because we all know that Swiftie-to-Disney pipeline is real.

As a Master Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, I’ve been coaching and teaching classes for over 8 years. If you're asking, deadlifts are my favorite.

I’m an extroverted introvert — I love people, but I recharge by taking time for myself.

Braven (pronounced “Brah-ven”) was my German Shepherd. He passed in March 2025. He was my very first (unwilling) photography client and the absolute light of my life.

My Photo Philosophy

The most important part of working with me? Being unapologetically yourself.

I’ve spent years trying to meet expectations that weren’t mine—maybe you have too. But that “perfect” version of us? Overrated. Let’s leave that behind.

My work is rooted in nature and inspired by the wild, untamed beauty of the world. From my branding to my photo packages, everything reflects the landscapes I love—and how I want you to feel: grounded, real, and effortlessly you.

No stiff poses. No fake smiles. Just the good stuff—barefoot joy, real connection, and the kind of laughter that makes you forget there’s a camera around.

In the end, those raw, unfiltered moments? They’re what last. And I’m here to make sure you never forget how they felt.

I can’t wait to meet you.

Beyond Weddings & Portraits

Photography isn’t just my job, it’s why I travel, why I chase golden light, and why my camera is always by my side.

While my wedding and portrait editing focuses on natural, true-to-life, timeless beauty, my landscape photography is where I let loose and bring the drama. I use bold editing to make the colors, light, and textures come alive.

Want to see what I create when it's just me, my camera, and the wild? Check out my travel and adventures!
